![]() ![]() ![]() There has to be another pin layout in BMW diagnostic connectors. ![]() Now I've discovered that the 20 pin connector under the hood doesn't have the pin 15 (witch is supposed to be the iso 9141 L-line). I used carsoft and a simpeler BMW scanner tool. Protocol issues need to be taken care of by the software package. Then I switched the interface into transparant mode (all it does than is perform a level shifting). I'm trying to access my cars computers as well.Ĭar is a E39 520d with no OBD2 so I have to use the 20 pin diagnostic plug under the hood.įirst attempt was with a AGV4000 multi protocol interface, without succes. Maybe this cable connects the BMW 20 pin connector to a special interface, certainly not to a standard com port on your PC.
